In-Home Dog Trainer in Margate, Florida

Reactive. Anxious. Adopted. Out of Control.

Real Help — In Your Home. In Your Neighborhood.

Margate is my home. This is where I live, where I train,

and where I do my most meaningful work every single day.

If Your Dog Is Struggling in Margate, You're Not Alone.

Every week I work with dog owners in Margate dealing with the same frustrations:

— Walks that feel like battles

— Dogs that lunge, bark, and pull at everything in sight

— Adopted dogs that won't settle, won't trust, or won't stop testing boundaries

— Dogs that have already been through training — and are still a problem

If any of that sounds familiar, you're not dealing with a bad dog. You're dealing with a dog that hasn't had the right help yet.

That's exactly what I fix. In your home. In our neighborhood. In the real streets, parks, and environments of Margate — where the behavior actually happens.

Training in Margate's Real Environments

One of the most powerful things about in-home training is that we take the work into the real world — not a quiet, controlled facility disconnected from your dog's actual life.

In Margate I regularly work with dogs in the environments they actually have to navigate every day:

**Firefighters Park and Rock Island Road** — one of the most effective locations for leash reactivity rehabilitation. The constant movement of cars and trucks on Rock Island Road creates the perfect real-world exposure environment. I have watched dogs go from explosive reactions to lying calmly beside busy traffic right here — in a single session.

**Home Depot on State Road 7** — an extraordinary training environment. Shopping carts, forklifts, foot traffic, strange smells,

sudden noises — everything that overwhelms a reactive or anxious dog exists here simultaneously. Dogs that can handle Home Depot can handle almost anything.

**Starbucks on Atlantic Avenue** — one of my favorite real-world training environments in Margate. Families coming and going. Strangers walking past. The constant unpredictable energy of everyday life.

The dog gets a puppuccino. The humans get their coffee. And while everyone enjoys their treats — the dog practices the most important skill in rehabilitation: calm observation in the middle of a busy world.

These aren't just locations. They're the real world your dog lives in. And training in them produces results that last — because the dog learns to handle life as it actually is.

UFAR Animal Rescue — My Home Base

I am a Certified Shelter Dog Specialist and official endorsed trainer for UFAR Animal Rescue right here in Margate, I volunteer my time to work hands-on with the shelter's most challenging dogs — the ones labeled aggressive, unadoptable, or beyond help.

These are the dogs that taught me everything I know about fear-based behavior, reactive dog rehabilitation, and what it actually takes to help a dog feel safe in the world again.

Some of the most remarkable transformations I have ever witnessed happened right here in Margate at UFAR Animal Rescue:

— Titan, a French bulldog labeled "the dog that attacks everyone" — who learned to trust through patience and now sleeps peacefully in his Boca Raton forever home

— Lola, a small rat terrier mix rescued from abuse — who went from attacking shelter staff to running freely through Firefighters Park on a 20-foot leash

— Paolo, a bulldog who learned calm and leash walking across three unedited training sessions — and was adopted shortly after.

If you have an adopted dog that's struggling — I understand these dogs at a level most trainers simply don't. I work with them every day.

What I Specialize In Margate and Broward County

Leash reactive dogs that lunge, bark, and make every walk a nightmare.

Adopted and rescue dogs struggling to adjust to their new homes

Separation anxiety — dogs that panic and destroy when left alone

— Dogs that have been through training without lasting results

— Fear-based behavior, aggression, and trust issues

— Adolescent dogs testing every boundary

All sessions are in your Margate home and your real neighborhood, where the behavior actually happens. Not in a training facility. Not in a controlled environment. Where your dog actually lives.

What Clients Are Saying

★★★★★

Our 5yr old Bernese Mountain dog, Sadie Bear.

She was an anxious dog with behavior issues.

Avi tackled each of her issues and gave us tools to help release her stress and stay calm.

Walks are now calm and she is a much happier dog.

Today was the last day of our training and she has come a long long way!

How It Works

Step 1 — Call Me and Tell Me What’s Going On

Call or text and we’ll talk through what’s really going on with your dog. No pressure, no sales pitch. Just clear answers on whether I can help and what the next step looks like.

Step 2 — Book Your In-Home Assessment & First Training Session

I come to your home, where your dog actually lives, and see the behavior firsthand. We start training in that first session, not just talk about it.

Step 3 — Get a Customized Plan Built for Your Dog

Every dog is different. You get a clear, structured plan based on your dog’s behavior, triggers and your lifestyle. No generic advice. No one-size-fits-all programs.

Step 4 — Train Where Life Actually Happens

All sessions are done in your home and real-world environments, not a training facility. If it doesn’t work at home, it doesn’t count.

Step 5 — Clear Recaps and Homework After Every Session

After every visit, you get a simple recap and clear homework so you know exactly what to do. No guessing between sessions, just steady progress.

You Don’t Have to Keep Living Like This.

Calm walks without pulling or lunging.
A dog that listens and looks to you for direction.

A home that feels normal again — not stressful.

That's what this looks like on the other side.

You don’t need more tips or guesswork.

You need a clear plan that actually works.
