Shalom Bayit starts with a balanced dog.
שָׁלוֹם בַּיִת — peace in the home — is one of the most sacred values in Jewish life. And anyone who has lived with a reactive, anxious, or out-of-control dog knows how quickly that peace can be disrupted.
I've worked with many Jewish families throughout Boca Raton — helping them restore the calm, the connection, and the Shalom Bayit they were missing. Not through force. Through chesed — loving kindness — and compassionate leadership every dog deserves.

Chesed Dog Rescue — Jewish values in dog rehabilitation
I work closely with Chesed Dog Rescue — an organization whose very name reflects the Jewish value of loving kindness. As their endorsed trainer, I volunteer my services working with their foster dogs, helping anxious, reactive, and traumatized dogs overcome their behavioral challenges and become calm, balanced, adoptable family companions.
These dogs don't need pressure or punishment.
They need exactly what chesed means — patient, compassionate guidance that helps them feel safe for the first time.
What I specialize in Boca Raton & Palm Beach County
Leash reactive dogs that lunge, bark, and make every walk exhausting.
Adopted and rescue dogs struggling to adjust and trust their new family.
Separation anxiety — dogs that panic or destroy when left alone.
Dogs that have been through training without lasting results.
Fear-based behavior, aggression, and impulse control issues.
What Clients Are Saying
★★★★★
Avi has been a remarkable help with our adopted 2 year old Boykin mix rescue.
He was anxious and reactive on the leash.
Our dog has changed dramatically for the better thanks to Avi. He walks calmly and no longer pulls on the leash. He has become a calm, confident dog with many commands and incredible impulse control.
Avi is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and always has practical advice for solving problems.
After each session, Avi sends detailed reviews of newly acquired skills, how to reinforce the behavior and homework for us to complete.

★★★★★
Avi is an exceptional dog behaviorist.
From the very first session, it was clear how deeply sensitive and intuitive he is. He truly understood our recently adopted rescue dog’s insecurities and approached her with patience, kindness, and respect.
Avi didn’t just work on behaviors,he helped us build her confidence in a way that felt safe and empowering for her. We’ve seen real, meaningful progress, and our dog is happier and more secure because of his guidance. We’re incredibly grateful for Avi’s expertise and heart, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Avi.
He helped us train both our new puppy and our older dog and the results have been incredible.
Our older dog was anxious, reactive and having a hard time, adjusting to the new puppy.
Avi was extremely knowledgeable and patient and helped us create structure which has made a huge difference.
Thanks to his guidance, our home feels more calm and balanced.
He tailored training specifically to our dogs personalities and needs.
Most importantly, no e-collar or sprong collars were used on our dogs.
